Permanent Hair Removal: Necessary Information You Should Know
Eradicating uninvited hair can be painful. Shaving and waxing, or other common forms of removing hair tend to be tedious duties that can take for too long. Also, to retain control of the uninvited hair you have to take action every other day. Thankfully, there are treatments that are approved by the Food and Drug Administration as sound methods of removing hair permanently.
The first method is electrolysis. In this treatment needles are inserted into each unwanted hair follicle and zapped with a boost of energy which kills the hair follicle and leaves it unable to produce more hair. This procedure may last a long time because there are so many hair follicles that need to be treated. In addition, the thought of having needles inserted into the skin may be too stressful even though they do not hurt.
The second method is laser hair removal. This treatment uses a laser, which is a beam of high powered light, to kill hair follicles. This method takes slightly less time because a laser can cover a section of hair follicles as opposed to only killing a single one each time. However, there is a risk of mild scars or burns.
Neither method offers complete hair removal in a single treatment. Successive treatments may need to be done to kill any hair follicles that remain either because they were missed or were not in the appropriate growth stage to be successful.
While these treatments may appear to be costly, bear in mind, these methods are permanent. The expense is only a one time thing, and at the same time, temporary hair removal methods require a purchase each week, which can actually cost more than a permanent removal solution. Time should also be considered when you are weighing the costs. If you are a busy person your free time is extremely important and eliminating the time it takes you to remove hair each day may be more beneficial to you.
