Laser Hair Removal
Laser hair removal is a method of removing unwanted body hair through the use of laser technology. A high intensity beam of light which gives off a lot of heat energy is directed at hair follicles to damage and stunt re-growth of the hair. It is a fairly painless procedure and a huge improvement in near-permanent hair removal methodology compared to painful electrolysis.
The light beam can only penetrate the upper most layer of the skin and is therefore a very safe option for facial hair removal. The only risks are the eyes but with goggles and proper precautionary practices, this risk is greatly neutralized.
Depending on the area of the body to be treated and the level of sensitivity in that particular area, patients have reported sensations ranging from tingling to a warm soothing feeling.
In comparison to shaving nicks in the skin or waxing, the level of pain generated by laser hair removal is well worth the money. Not to mention the difference between temporary solutions and long-term removal.
As far as treatment goes, a single session can last anywhere from fifteen minutes to forty-five minutes depending on the size of the area. And in many cases, multiple sessions are required as follow-up.
After the first treatment, it is typically reported that the hair re-grows 80% thinner. The area that is being treated then proceeds to re-grow thinner until no re-growth is left. Follow up sessions are usually a month apart for two to eight months.
The cost of such a procedure depends on a variety of factors. The key factors include the part of the body from which the hair is to be removed, the number of sessions required, and the doctor’s charge for his or her service.
Clinics use different strategies to determining your final bill and it is a good question to ask during consultation. In asking about pricing you could probably get an estimate for your particular circumstance. That is helpful in determining whether laser hair removal is right for you.

Clearing Up Hairy Business with Laser Hair Removal
Too much body hair? Too much unwanted facial hair? Don’t worry, you have lots of hair removal techniques to choose from.
The easiest, most painless way to take care of excess hair is to shave it off. The problem with shaving, though, is that you might be looking at some nasty, rough-feeling stubble by as early as a few hours later. Whether you have a five o’clock shadow on your legs or on your face, its still pretty bothersome.
Want hair removal that lasts a little longer? Try sugaring, waxing, or tweezing all those suckers off. This usually involves pulling hairs out by the roots, which means that they’ll take a lot longer to grow back. This technique can really sting, though, and you’ll probably have to do it all over again in about a months time anyway.
If you want hair in those awkward places gone forever, try permanent laser hair removal. Laser hair removal basically zaps each strand of hair with some really intense light. Laser hair removals been available commercially since the last decade. Yes, the decade of grunge rock and boy bands was also the decade of the laser.
Permanent laser hair removal involves a machine called a xenon flash lamp, which hones in on the black and brown pigment in a persons hair, heats it up, and damages it to the point where it simply wont grow back in again. Watch it, though; the fact that the light emitted by a permanent laser hair removal device targets melanin (that’s the stuff that gives hair and skin color) means that if your hair and skin are pretty much the same color, you might not get the results you want; if you’re dark-skinned, this could mean that you might even end up with burned or discolored skin.
Watch it, though; this kind of hair removal technique isn’t for everyone. For one thing, if you want to get rid of hair near the eyes, you’d be a lot better off with electrolysis or waxing. They’ll hurt but they don’t use light, which means that they’re a lot less likely to damage your eyesight. Also, laser hair removal wont always work on some folks, especially on people with very pale hair, since the light targets the melanin “skin and hair pigment- that makes skin and hair brown or black. If you have really dark hair and really pale skin, you’re a really great candidate for permanent laser hair removal. If you have dark skin and dark hair, consult with your specialist; they’ll probably need to use a special laser.
Another great thing about permanent laser hair removal is well its permanent! It might be a bit more expensive than a hot wax treatment, and you’ll have to come in for multiple sessions to get rid of all the hair in the area, but for most people, laser hair removal usually means that they don’t have to ever shave or wax again. Ever.

How to Remove Unwanted Back Hair
There was an age when manhood depended on how much hair grows on your chest and on your backs. Back hair was regarded as a prized possession and having them gave you social status. But the world has turned its back and forgotten back hair and all excessive hair and now promote the “clean look”. Hence, men are faced with the problem of having back hair removed. Removing hair from your chest and underarms is easy, but removing excessive hair from your back is a totally different matter. Considering the fact that your arms may have difficulty reaching and you can’t see what you’re shaving, you may need assistance. Often times, you may need help from somebody close and they may not always be available or willing to do the job.
But of course, our world always seems to come up with a solution to every need as long as you are willing to pay for it. Let’s face it; the best things in life aren’t free. Back hair removal procedures are now available in the market. You just need to choose which better suits your personality and lifestyle.
Here are some back hair removal methods:
1. Shaving – the traditional and ever reliable shaver may be the fastest and most convenient way to remove those excessive hairs from your back. However, it does make the new hair follicles replacing the one you removed sharper and brisker and that can give you that itchy feeling on your back. This can cause ingrown hairs as well plus, if you’re unlucky, the hair may decide to grow out from the surrounding tissue where you first shaved giving that awful look aside from the itchy sensation. Again there are a lot of technologically modified shavers out there that will solve this problem but of course you would need the help of a friend who has a sharp eye (sharper than the blade) to use them.
2. Waxing – this is usually done performed at a salon with a professional although, you can also ask a friend who knows how to do it to help you out whilst at home. Waxing rips hair from the roots so you can be sure you’ll be hair-free for the next 3 – 8 weeks. Hair re-growth depends on how your own hair grows as well as the texture. However, since waxing is ripping hair, waxing is painful! The other alternative, sugaring (which uses sugar paste) is friendlier to the skin and a lot less painful.
3. Laser or electrolysis – this is the most effective. It can even promise you permanent hair reduction. It is also quick and virtually painless. But of course, you will need the help of a licensed professional. The other, electrolysis, maybe cheaper but it can be painful and in a lot of instances, the process takes a very long time.
Hence, there are many back hair removal techniques which suit different people. You need to look at the benefits and drawbacks of each technique and decide accordingly.

Benefits of Laser Hair Removal
Laser hair removal offers many benefits over older hair removal methods. This is especially true in facial hair removal or other areas where the skin is particularly sensitive or tough to reach. The main advantages of laser hair removal has to do with its long-lasting results, the virtually pain free treatment, and the cost savings over the long run.
While it is advertised as being permanent, laser hair removal can be more accurately labeled as almost permanent. Some clinics offer guarantees that the hair will not grow back after 2 to 5 years and will grant refunds or free treatment if indeed there is re-growth in the treated area. For many people, this is a relief from constant shaving.
For many people, shaving doesn’t last more than a few days at most. To get deeper into the hair follicle some people, especially women, have resorted to waxing. Of course this can test a person’s pain threshold and there is hardly such a thing as waxing for the purpose of facial hair removal.
Chances are you would opt for a painless process and that is what laser can offer. They target the hair follicle to destroy the hair and according to some patients it is a warm soothing sensation as the laser zaps away the hair.
Since it is a cosmetic procedure, the cost can get pretty steep for some peoples’ budgets. But what separates this procedure from other cosmetic treatments are the long term results. Plastic surgery, for example, will begin to show when parts of the body begin to age and grow disproportionate.
The cost for laser hair removal makes up for itself in the long run mostly due to the lasting effects. Imagine never having to spend on shaving products, waxing products, or waxing sessions for five years, now add those savings to the time cost of shaving or waxing. There is no more pain in shaving, waxing, or even worrying about whether you have waxed recently enough to show off your bikini.
Both men and women are benefiting from this method of hair removal. Typically women would get their bikini lines and arm pits treated, while it is a viable option for male athletes who need to keep certain areas clean. The improvement in laser technology is making the procedure cheaper and more available to a wide range of people all over.
Because of the minimal side effects and procedural complications, the popularity of laser hair removal will continue just as the technology will continually improve to make it an even safer, faster, and a more enjoyable experience.

Laser hair removal has quickly become one of the most popular procedures at med spas. However, contrary to popular opinion, it’s not just for women. There are now a lot of men that are turning to this particular procedure to get rid of unwanted hair. This article will provide you with information regarding this cosmetic treatment and you can determine if it’s the right one for you.
The first laser that was approved for public use for hair removal hit the mark in 1997. However, the first laser used to remove hair was created in the late 1970’s. This one proved to be rather ineffective and it would be another thirty years before a laser that really worked was released. This procedure has quickly risen every year in popularity.
Laser hair removal uses a beam of light to target and destroy the hair follicles. During the process, you may feel a small sting as this occurs. Depending on the area of the body, some anesthesia may be used to reduce the discomfort. However, one of the great benefits of this procedure is that you can almost always return to work the same day.
Laser hair removal is most effective on dark hairs. These hairs seem to absorb the laser light better than lighter colored ones. In order to see the best results, multiple treatments are needed. Most people require between five and eight laser hair removal treatments. More than likely, you will also need some maintenance appointments in order to keep your skin hair free.
The legs, chin, and upper lip areas are the most common places for hair removal. For men, it’s usually the back area. The smaller the area of the body, the less expensive the treat. The back and legs are usually the most expensive. You can usually have the upper lip and chin areas done in as little as thirty minutes. The legs will require multiple treatments to remove all of the hair.
There is a chance of the skin darkening around where the laser is used, but this is seldom permanent and will usually go away within a day or two. There are very few side effects reported with this procedure and most people are very pleased with the results.
If you have had problems with chemical depilatories in the past, you may find that laser hair removal is a much better alternative. Those depilatories contain strong and harsh chemicals that often can cause an allergic reaction in many people. Laser hair removal will give the same results, but it’s permanent as well.
It’s easy to see why this cosmetic procedure is so popular. No woman enjoys shaving her legs and this can make a tiresome task go away. If you are looking for a great way to remove unwanted hair, consider laser hair removal.
