Peel Away The Years

by Craig Mecham

Nowadays, it seems that people, both men and women, would do anything to get a couple of years off their face. If you get a consultation at a skin specialist’s office, chances are that physicians or aesthetician (skin specialists trained to perform some of the less-involved procedures such as laser hair removal or light chemical peels) may recommend that you have a chemical peel, which comes in many forms. Glycolic acid, trichloracetic acid (TCA), salicylic acid, and phenol peels are applied to the face and perhaps the neck, chest, and hands for a brief period of time, which will help skin resurfacing and make disappear wrinkles and improve its overall appearance. Fans, ice packs, and sometimes local anesthesia will be used to reduce the immediate irritation that can follow such treatments.

To resurface the skin with chemical peels topical chemicals are applied to the skin. These peels will exfoliate the skin to rejuvenate, refresh and soften it without any cutting into the skin. Skin tones will improve and fine lines will disappear with repeated treatments. Usually these peels are administered by aestheticians or specially trained nurses in board certified physicians offices. If you choose to have a skin peel in a non-physician state regulated setting the concentration of the chemical is much lower

For hundred of years skin resurfacing with chemical peels have been practiced and it really isn’t new. With the proper peels and techniques dramatic improvements can be achieved in skin texture and appearance. Since its inception chemical peels have been looked upon with admiration for facial resurfacing. Over the last 20 years patient’s enthusiasm for the effect of peels has grown tremendously as the general public wants to keep that youthful appearance with skin rejuvenation. Say goodbye to superficial fine lines, skin irregularities including pigment and scarring as the chemical peels can dramatically improve the skins appearance.

As for other facial rejuvenation processes chemical peeling has several advantages. One is that it is a relatively simple procedure that is easy to learn, yet is one of the most effective techniques used in facial refreshing. Clinics are popping up all over the USA that offer chemical peeling treatments to take care of unwanted blemishes and age related spots. With our never-aging society today thousands of men and women all over the world are flocking to these clinics to get the benefits that are offered.

Do you still mix lemon juice, baking soda and aspirin to make a facial mask? Leave that stuff in your house and visit a trusted aesthetician for an easy chemical peel and younger looking skin. The world of beauty awaits you to take the plunge.

Chemical Peeling Your Age Away

by Craig Mecham

For one of the most effective ways to get firm, revitalized skin try a chemical peel treatment. Different safe chemicals are used to allow the dead skin to peel, thus assisting in reducing wrinkles and leaving you with younger looking skin.

There are three different types of chemical peel treatments, namely: Light chemical peel treatment is best to produce quick, temporary results. They normally take anywhere from 30 to 60 minutes and have to be repeated to maintain results. They are best for dark skin types, since those types have the most accumulation of dead skin cells on their face, thereby producing a dull look.

There are medium and deep chemical peels used for permanent wrinkle reduction. Medium peels take about the same as the light ones from 30 to 60 minutes, but the deep peel procedure needs two hours or more. These peels do last longer than the light one. These peels, medium and deep, use thick layers of chemicals to penetrate into the skin deeper than the light. Creating the long lasting effect. If you want to try the deep chemical peel treatment you need to consider all aspects of the treatment and be well informed. The medium and deep chemical peel lasts forever and one application is all you need.

Deep peels are the most effective when it comes to reducing wrinkles, since they are thicker and penetrate deeper. They are also the ones that need to be considered with serious thought. A deep peel treatment produces instantaneous results which are evident a few days after the treatment. Deep peel treatment is performed with anesthesia and/or painkiller, although the discomfort associated with them is negligible. In rare cases light sedation may be needed to perform the procedure.

Chemical peel treatment is a highly effective method to reduce the wrinkles that accumulate either due to age or animation. We get frown lines on our forehead and crows feet around our eyes. Chemical peeling is very effective in managing the signs of age, and the treatment can be permanent if you so require. The skin is slightly sensitive after a deep chemical treatment, which is why ultimate care must be employed when stepping out in the sun and appropriate sun block should be applied to get all the benefits out of your treatment.

Reversing Aging with Botox

by Craig Mecham

Suave Hollywood stars flocking to the red carpet are not the only ones with Botox treatment to get a couple of years off their faces. Americans, millions of people every year, throng to the effects of Botox, relaxing their wrinkles with Botox. Between 2005 and 2006 saw an impressive increase of 35% or more, with the curve still rising. Most qualified doctors would recommend the use of Botox for cosmetic purposes and its users cannot get over the effects of this miracle cure to ageing. The good thing about it? It’s non-surgical and it works wonders.

Botox has been getting all of the fanfare that comes with a new medical miracle, but it has been around and used by models, socialites and celebrities for more than two decades now! The muscle relaxant has been gaining popularity as a wrinkle reducer – focusing on smoothing out laugh lines, crow’s feet and frown lines between the eyebrows. When the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) approved Botox for cosmetic purposes, its popularity reached new heights.

Because Botox targets specific, individual muscles, it doesn’t drastically change your ability to form facial expressions. Continuous Botox therapy is also very effective in making its effects last longer.

With one of its functions being that of a muscle relaxant, and therefore a wrinkle reducer, Botox, a diluted version, can inhibit sweating and even stop sweating all together. Interestingly, research has also shown that treatment of Botox can also reduce migraines and effectively help in managing spasms by bringing them to control.

Botox is really effective for reducing all types of wrinkles. Botox is the treatment of choice, dermatologists cite as “most efficient” because of its effect on muscles and wrinkles, like crow’s feet. Creams can reduce wrinkles and crow’s feet for the short term, but the improvement will be gradual and less spectacular than if Botox is used.

Botox is one of the most safest and effective treatment for deep wrinkles between the eyebrows. It is a fast and safe method, with its after-effects (if any) lasting only a few seconds. A few days later, its effects are made obvious and it takes about a week to reach their peak. The most significant result of Botox lasts two to three months after a new treatment is recommended – and you can enjoy the thrills of your wrinkle free appearance!
